About Erie Community Church

Erie Community Church has served the community faithfully for over 175 years, preaching God's Word to all who come to worship.

Our story traces back to the circuit riders of the 1800s. In 1849, several families in the area began meeting in their homes for church. As the gatherings grew, the first church building — a simple log structure — was built on the west side of Paw Paw Pike.

Built by the hands of those living in the community, that original building served until 1902, when the current brick church and a small parsonage were erected. Today we continue that legacy of worship, fellowship, and service to our neighbors.

Weekly Services

We gather each Sunday to worship the Lord through hymns, prayer, Scripture, and preaching.

  • Sunday Worship: 9:00 a.m.
  • Children's Sunday School: 9:15 a.m.

Come as you are. Families, individuals, and visitors are all warmly welcome.

The most important decision anyone can make is to trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

How Can I Be Saved?

  1. Admit your need. We have all sinned and fall short of God's standard.
  2. Turn from sin. Be willing to repent and ask God for forgiveness.
  3. Believe in Jesus. Trust that He died for your sins and rose from the grave.
  4. Receive Him by faith. Ask Jesus to come into your life and be your Saviour.

A Simple Prayer

"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I want to turn from my sin and trust in Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and rose again. Please come into my life, forgive me, and help me to follow You as my Lord and Saviour. In Jesus' name, Amen."
